My name is Jen, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve worked in financial services for nearly 20 years, primarily as a mortgage advisor, helping individuals and families navigate some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Over the years, those conversations often went far beyond home loans. I found myself helping clients understand credit, budgeting, debt, and the day-to-day financial choices that shape long-term stability. Again and again, I saw capable, hardworking people struggling and not because they weren’t responsible, but because real life is complicated and most of us were never truly taught how to manage money in a practical, sustainable way.

Several years ago, I made the decision to focus this work more intentionally on financial counseling and education. I saw a clear gap in financial education, not due to a lack of effort or intelligence, but a lack of guidance that actually fits real life. That’s the space I’m here to fill.

But this shift wasn’t just professional — it was personal.

Within three years, I lost both of my parents to cancer. Six months after losing my mom, I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself. I had to step away from work and the financial strain that followed forced me to confront the gaps in my own “worst case” planning. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life emotionally and financially.

That experience changed everything.

It gave me a deeper understanding of how quickly life can shift and how money stress is often tied to fear, grief, and uncertainty, not just numbers. It’s why my approach is calm, practical, and judgment-free. I don’t believe in shame. I believe in clarity, progress, and building a financial life that supports you through both good times and hard ones. My background in mortgages gives me a practical understanding of credit, debt, cash flow, and real-world financial decisions not just theory.
